Robert Mirabile has been named the new vice president for enrollment at Beloit College. Mirabile, who will assume his new role in May, comes to Beloit from Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he has served as assistant vice president for enrollment analytics since 2010.

Mirabile was selected for the role following a national search by the college. He succeeds Nancy Benedict, who is retiring in May after 13 years of service to the college.

In a message to campus, President Scott Bierman called Mirabile “an inquisitive, enthusiastic and successful leader in the field of enrollment management, as well as a champion – and beneficiary – of a liberal arts education. He follows in the footsteps of one of this country’s most respected college enrollment professionals, Nancy Benedict, and I am confident that Rob will build on Beloit’s superb reputation in American higher education. The committee and I found Rob a uniquely exciting candidate, and we’re thrilled he has accepted our invitation.”

As vice president for enrollment at Beloit College, Mirabile will lead a 20-person team of admissions and financial aid professionals. The new vice president will convene and shape campus-wide discussions regarding the art and science of shaping a successful class and craft and carry out a plan for strategic enrollment management at the college.

Prior to joining Drexel, Mirabile was associate vice president for research at Maguire Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in enrollment management in higher education, where he served a wide variety of higher education clients. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bates College, a master’s degree and Ph.D. in social psychology from Princeton University, and is currently pursuing a leadership in enrollment management certificate from the University of Southern California. Overall, he has nearly 20 years of experience in research, management and teaching roles.
