I’m very pleased to announce that Evan Wilson ’01 has accepted the position of Director of Admission at Illinois College. We conducted a national search and were fortunate to have a talented pool of candidates who expressed interest in the position. Evan brings strong achievements and experiences from his years in undergraduate and graduate recruitment at both private and public institutions. His professionalism, strong communication skills, management style and commitment to a liberal arts education will enhance our admission operations.
Evan currently serves as Associate Director of Admissions at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), where he has realized and exceeded goals in first-year and transfer enrollment. Prior to his time at SIUE, Evan worked at Illinois College as an Admission Counselor and Assistant Director until 2006 when he was named Director of Medical Student Admission at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Evan is a 2001 graduate of Illinois College with a B.A. in both Communication and Theatre and earned an MBA from Benedictine University in 2011. Recently, Evan was invited by the College Board to their Enrollment Leadership Academy and will graduate from this prestigious program for emerging enrollment leaders in June.
Evan returns to the Hilltop on January 6, 2014.
